Application Of VFD In Fans

The application scope of variable frequency drives (VFDs) is extensive nowadays, with widespread use in industries such as petroleum, chemical, light industry, papermaking, rubber, electric power, and metallurgy. The speed regulation and energy-saving features of VFDs have elevated the technological level of enterprises, conserving resources and contributing to energy efficiency and environmental protection. They play a significant role in the technological transformation and product upgrading of enterprises.

In many cases, fan loads are sized based on full load requirements, but in practice, they often operate below full load capacity. Therefore, even a slight reduction in average speed results in a rapid decrease in power consumption, leading to energy savings.

However, when motors are directly started, the inability to adjust speed often necessitates the use of dampers or valves to regulate airflow or flow rate. This not only wastes energy but also causes power grid disturbances and equipment vibration or water hammer phenomena due to excessive starting currents.
By using VFDs for speed control, speed can be conveniently adjusted according to actual process requirements. For example, when the motor speed is 80% of the rated speed, the load power is approximately 50% of the rated power (80% cubed), resulting in significant energy savings. Additionally, VFDs avoid grid disturbances during startup, reduce equipment failure rates, eliminate vibration and water hammer phenomena, extend equipment service life, and reduce requirements for grid capacity and reactive power loss.

Hars VFD Used In Fans

The Hars 720 series VFD is a high-performance vector inverter equipped with IGBT modules, enabling high-speed and high-performance control. By controlling the motor flux current, it achieves fast response and accurate control of the motor, allowing for precise speed regulation and control over a wide range. It offers up to 10 frequency setting methods and can switch between A frequency source selection and B frequency source selection through multiple methods. Three startup methods can be selected according to different equipment processes. The speed stability accuracy can reach less than or equal to 0.5% of the rated synchronous speed, and the speed control stability can reach less than or equal to 0.3% of the rated synchronous speed. With up to 5 V/F curves, the innovative multi-point V/F curve ensures stable torque enhancement and high efficiency.

The Hars VFD factory focuses on providing frequency conversion application solutions and industrial automation solutions for various industries.
